  1. Select to import 16-bit images with pixels in the range -32768 - 32767.  The Image will be linearly scaled to 8-bits. Use Fixed Scale (click on Set‚Ķ) to enable/disable auto-scaling.  Use the Rescale command (File Menu) to redo scaling.
